League Rules & Voting for 2026
Let’s talk about League Rules and Voting for 2026! As commissioners we feel it’s important for everyone to have a say in how the league is set up. This year we thought it would be a great idea to have members vote on varying league rule changes from last season. There are a couple of things we made an executive decision on based on last season, as well as league growth in 2026. You can find all of the information for new rules and voting items below. We’ve decided to send out polls to the text group instead of voting on Draft Day to streamline things. We ask that all votes be in by 8/7/26 so we can close the poll and post the official rules for the 2026 season before Draft Day. If you fail to cast your vote in time then your vote is considered forfeit. Any voting ties will have a coin flip tie-breaker, NFL style. If any questions pop up please reach out to Ashley or Taylor.
What’s Staying the Same
- Waiver Wire transactions complete at 3am Wednesday Mornings for the upcoming week.
- The top 6 teams will go to the playoffs while the bottom 6 teams will compete in the toilet bowl. We’ve decided to forgo divisions for the 2026 season and will revisit in 2027.
What’s New
- Set Your Lineup Rule: Any league member that fails to set their lineup resulting in an empty slot or 0 points (bye, out etc.) 3 weeks or more throughout the 2026 season will not be permitted to come back to the league for 2027. Last year we had a couple of issues with members not setting their line up in time for the week. This skews the results for the entire league when matchups aren’t even due to poor team management. We understand that life gets busy and we want this league to be fun but also competitive! So set those reminders so you can make sure your team is good to go by game time. We are usually good about reaching out with reminders as well if we notice a team has someone out.
- Flex Position Update: There will only be 1 Flex (WR/RB/TE) position per team. Last year we had 2 Flex (WR/RB/TE) per team because we had less teams. With adding two additional teams this year, we decided to take one flex position off the roster. This will result in a better player pool for Draft Day, as well as players on the waiver wire.
What We’re Voting On
- Free to Play vs Pay to Play: Last year the league was free to play. Pay to play would require members to pay a fee to participate in the league. Fees go into a pot that gets dispersed between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. Example: Pay to Play is $30 so $360 would be collected total since there are 12 teams. The payout would be $230 for First Place, $100 for 2nd place and $30 (make your money back) for 3rd place. The voting options will be 1. Pay to Play at $30 a person 2. Pay to Play at $20 a person 3. Free to Play (no fee)
- OUT players can only go on bench vs OUT players can go to IR (injured reserve): Last year the league only allowed OUT players to sit on your bench and IR was used only for players on IR. Allowing OUT players to go on IR frees up bench space for teams to pick up additional players to compensate for players that are ruled out by their team for the week. The voting options will be 1. OUT players can only go to bench 2. OUT players can go to IR
- Waiver Wire: Worst Record Priority vs Rolling List vs Bidding System: Last year the league was set up with the worst record team having priority on their waiver wire targets. The voting options will be: 1. Worse Record Prioirty 2. Rolling List 3. Bidding System. Below is a description of the three different systems for waiver wire we are looking to vote on.
- Worse Record Prioirty: Team managers with the worse record would get priority when picking up a player from the waiver wire over a team with a better record. For example: Two managers are going for the same player. Manager A has a 3-5 record while Manager B has a 5-3 record. This means that Manager A would get the player over Manager B because their record is not as good.
- Rolling List: Team managers are on a rolling list so every week a different manager would get the top priority. This just randomizes who gets priority for waiver wire targets. For example: Week 2, Manager A gets top prioirty with Manager B getting second, Manager C getting third and so on. Week 3, Manager A moves to the bottom of the prioirty list and Manager B would get first priority with Manager C getting second and so on.
- Bidding System: Each team would be allotted $100 of fake “sleeper money” for the season to bid on players. The player would go to whoever bid the most and there is a cap on the amount of money a manager can spend for the season. Multiple people can bid on players so it brings more strategy to the waiver wire. Managers can also bid $0 on players if they don’t have the cap space to spend. Example: Manager A bids $10 on one player 1, $7 on player 2, and $5 on player 3. Manager B also bid $12 on player 1 and manager C bid $10 on player 2 but no one else bid on player 3. Therefore, Manager A would get player 3 since she was outbid on the other players.
